Solution Transitioner of Visual Studio

The Solution Transitioner of Visual Studio can transition Visual Studio solutions from one version to another in batch. It has a nice UI like the following:

The Import Images Project Widget of Visual Smarter

The Import Images project widget as name suggests is designed to import images to the current Visual Studio project. The Import Images widget asks for a folder in a Folder Browser dialog. If the folder contains images (.bmp, .png, .gif, and .ico), they will all be imported into the current project with exactly the same folder structures and names as on the hard drive. In addition, the Build Action for the image files will all be marked as Embedded Resource, which will be ready to use by the program.

Member Grouper of Visual Studio

If people haven't known of the Member Grouper of Visual Studio yet, here is a simple screenshot for the main UI for ideas:

As can be seen, it has various options supporting different functionalities. It can group class/type members per class basis, document basis, project basis, solution basis, or selected projects. In addition, the member grouping rules can be edited with some nice and easy to use UIs and different rule can apply to different target. The member grouping rules can be saved into a central folder so that next time when the Member Grouper starts up, the same grouping rules will be populated into the session automatically.

Only when the Some Projects option is chosen will the Apply/Project/Rule data grid be enabled so that different grouping rule can be specified and applied to a different project if wanted.

Editor Arranger of Visual Smarter

In case readers not aware of the Editor Arranger provided by Visual Smarter yet, here is a screenshot for a big picture about it:

As can be seen, it provides many ways to arrange documents and windows in the Visual Studio Editor, e.g. max number, locking, keeping or both; the newly opened will replace the last opened, shortest time stayed, least used, or with minimum content.

It has also some buttons to manipulate the documents/windows of selected with a single click, such as Close or Save.

Solution Auto Cloner of Visual Smarter

The Solution Auto Cloner of Visual Smarter looks like the following:

As can be seen, it will add a prefix, a suffix, or both to the cloned solution and all projects it references. In addition, it treats unavailable projects with three optional ways, Ignore, Remove, or Rename along.

Source Statistics of Visual Smarter

As can be seen, the statistics are categorized into three groups, Current, Last Save, and Move Added. Currently, the widget cares about Code Lines, Comment Lines, Empty Lines, Lines in Total, Source Files, and Time of Last Save.

Source Pack & Go of Visual Smarter

If users haven't given the Source Pack & Go a try yet, here is a screenshot of its main UI showing what it looks like:



As can be seen, the Source Pack & Go is pretty powerful. It can pack the whole solution including all folders and projects, or some particular projects. It can have many ways to pack the same source for people to choose. It gives people a chance for where to put the package and where to go. If the Outlook either full or express is properly installed and configured, the Source Pack & Go would open an mail, populate necessary fields, and attach the package as an attachment.

Project Renamer Widget of Visual Smarter

If readers have not tried the Project Renamer widget of Visual Smarter yet, please have a look at the following screenshot for its main UI to get some ideas:

As can be seen, it can rename not only the Project/Folder name itself but also the Namespace and Assembly names, if applicable. In addition, a new solution can be cloned before the renaming. Nicer stuff is that after all the renaming is done, another cool widget, AssemblyInfo Updater can be launched for us to review and change the project assembly information if necessary.
